You can check the permesso status on the questura website, but updates may be delayed. Some participants report that the status did not change even when the documents were ready. For example, in Rome, the status "not found in archive" may mean that the documents are ready, but the information on the website is not updated.

If the status shows a cross or "not in archive", it may mean that the documents have not yet been entered into the system. In such cases, it is advisable to contact the questura directly for clarification.

Some participants share experiences that after submitting documents and fingerprinting, the status may remain unchanged for 4-6 months. In such cases, it is worth periodically checking the status and, if necessary, contacting the questura for information.
