- Heavy traffic: adjust speed to flow, maintain distance, do not signal unnecessarily, do not change lanes constantly.
- Oncoming lights at night: avert gaze, slow down/stop, do not use high beams, do not cover eyes with hands.
- Pedestrians outside crosswalks: slow down, stop if necessary.
- Emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) with sirens + blue flashing lights: not required to follow traffic rules, but must be cautious; other drivers yield. Signs on police vehicle screens: "ACCOSTARE" = stop; "ALT POLIZIA" = stop; "INCIDENTE" = slow down.
- Trucks >3.5 t on single-lane roads outside urban areas with overtaking ban: distance of at least 100 meters.
- Mountain roads: when meeting, the vehicle going downhill yields first.
