- The right to reunification is granted to foreigners with permesso/carta di soggiorno (for employment, self-employment, asylum, study, religion, family) valid for at least 1 year
- Categories of reunified: spouse; minor children (including adopted); adult dependent children (due to health conditions); parents under 65 without other children in the home country; parents over 65 if unable to be supported by other children
- Basic documents: marca €16; codice fiscale; applicant's passport; permesso/carta di soggiorno; passport of the relative being reunited; family composition certificates of the applicant and housing
- For rented housing: rental agreement (min 6 months, registered with Agenzia delle Entrate); owner's document; certificate of idoneita' alloggiativa; owner's declaration (Mod. S2/S1 for minors) of consent for the reunified to reside
- For owned housing: ownership document (registered); certificate of idoneita' alloggiativa
- For refugees/subsidiary protection status: only basic documents, no income requirements
- Employment income (employees): UniLav + Mod. S3 + employer document + last tax declaration + last 3 payslips
- Employment income (self-employed): visura camerale + Partita IVA + license/membership in albo + Mod. Unico + accountant's certificate from commercialista or consulente del lavoro
