The official Comunicazione di ospitalita in favore di cittadino extracomunitario form - a police notice of providing housing or property to a non-EU foreigner under art. 7 D.lgs 286/1998. The law obliges anyone who provides housing to a foreigner (rent, stay, property transfer) to notify the local public security authorities (questura or commissariato) within 48 hours; failure carries an administrative fine (per the form - 160-1100 euro, check current amounts). The form has Dichiarante and Cessionario sections, the housing period, the property address and a list of attachments: both parties documents and property title papers (contratto di locazione, atto di proprieta).

How to use it
Filled in by the owner or the host. Per the form instructions, it is sent by registered mail raccomandata A/R in two copies with original signatures, the third copy stays with the declarant. Attach copies of the declarant ID, the foreigner documents (with visa) and the property papers. The document can be viewed page by page in the protected viewer.

Italian law requires anyone providing housing to a foreigner (rental, residence, property transfer) to notify local public security authorities (questura/commissariato) within 48 hours. Non-compliance results in an administrative fine of 160-1,100 EUR.

- Section DICHIARANTE (host): surname, name, date/place of birth, residential address.
- Statement of providing housing/property from date _____ to date _____ (or indefinitely).
- Section CESSIONARIO (foreign citizen): surname, name, date/place of birth, nationality, address, type/number of document, date of issue, issuing authority.
- Declaration is made on behalf of the owner/property holder: address of the property (Comune, via, numero civico, interno, piano).
- Submission procedure: form is sent by registered mail with acknowledgment (raccomandata A/R) in two copies with original signatures (the third copy remains with the applicant).
- Attached documents: copy of the applicant's document; copy of the foreigner's document/permesso + copy of the entry visa page + receipt of registered mail; copy of property ownership documents (contratto di locazione, atto di proprieta, etc.).
- Legal citation: "...chiunque, a qualsiasi titolo, da alloggio ovvero ospita uno straniero... e tenuto a darne comunicazione scritta, entro 48 ore, all'Autorita locale di pubblica sicurezza."
