A consolidated questura checklist: which documents to put into the postal envelope (kit postale) for nine main types of permesso di soggiorno - lavoro subordinato, stagionale, lavoro autonomo, studio, the EU long-term residence permit, famiglia with a visa (ricongiungimento), famiglia without a visa (coesione), and the Carta UE for relatives of EU citizens. For each type the documents are listed separately for first issuance (rilascio) and renewal (rinnovo): dichiarazione di ospitalita or certificato di residenza, proof of income, visura camerale for the self-employed, insurance or SSN for students, apostilled certificates for family types.
